How the Earworx Procedure Works
The Earworx procedure is safe, effective, and takes just 30 minutes. While some amount of earwax in our ears in normal and necessary for our ear health, an excess of earwax can result in irritating and painful symptoms including itching, a feeling of being blocked up, loss of hearing, ringing in the ears and dizziness.
Our experienced nurse will begin by thoroughly examining your ears to determine the need for the micro-suction procedure. If it is decided that you require earwax removal, our nurse will don a pair of loupes to allow them to visualise your entire ear canal. These binocular glasses are important to ensure we can see the inside of your ears throughout the procedure.
The micro-suction technology operates like a small vacuum, gently sucking away excess ear wax and removing any blockages. The procedure is completely dry, making it safe for people with health conditions and preventing any risk of infection.

Why You Might Need Ear Wax Removal
Some people are more susceptible to excess or impacted earwax, and may be more likely to suffer the uncomfortable symptoms associated with an earwax build up. Factors that can contribute to impacted earwax include regularly swimming or diving, wearing headphones or a hearing aid, spending a lot of time in dusty environments, and using cotton buds to try to clean the ear. You can also be predisposed to excess wax through genetics or the shape of your ear canals.
The earwax removal procedure is completed for a flat rate of $120 in Indooroopilly, and $95 concession for veterans, pensioners and health care card holders Australia wide. If a second appointment is required, this will be performed at no charge. The fee is paid at the time of the appointment via debit or credit card. If no wax is found in your ears at the time of your appointment, a 50% reduced rate applies.Book Appointment
